OUTREACH SESSION – DIGITAL SKILLS FOR YOUTH
CSK led an experiential sensory evaluation exercise with 16 youth exploring career options. This included a hands-on demonstration of how Product Developers taste and evaluate food products during research and development.
STUDENT OUTREACH – CHARLOTTETOWN RURAL HIGH
CSK worked with leadership students to prepare brain-boosting snacks during exam week. Menu items included blueberry-spinach smoothies and two kinds of healthy breakfast bars. This ongoing collaboration demonstrated the importance and benefits of healthy living. Additionally, CSK staff led two smoothie and breakfast bar sessions during the school’s Wellness Expo.
STUDENT OUTREACH – HOLLAND COLLEGE VARSITY ATHLETICS
CSK partnered with the Holland College Varsity Athletics Department to facilitate three semi-structured focus group sessions which included healthy snack options during their breaks. VOLUNTEER DINNER – CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION
CSK partnered with the Charlottetown branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association to prepare their annual Christmas turkey luncheon for their clients. For some of the clients, this is the only hot turkey dinner they would receive over the holiday season. CSK prepared turkey with all the trimmings and blueberry shortcake for dessert.
