Month in Review:
+ We were delighted to have the expertise of Anton Paar technician Lars on site at Canada’s Smartest Kitchen this month, to complete the installation and setup of our Alcolyzer and Density Meter – CSK greatly appreciates and acknowledges the provision of the NSERC-ARTI funding program that supported the purchase of this equipment for our region.
+ For another advancement and first in Canada’s Smartest Kitchen sensory science history, we organized our first ever “take home sensory” exercise – providing all test product ingredients, instructions, and stipend in a safely sealed box for participants to take home and prepare in the comfort of their own home, a process that is socially distanced approved!
+ Staff members participated in a photo shoot at Canada’s Smartest Kitchen, for updated images to grace the entry breezeway of the Tourism & Culinary Centre, in Charlottetown, featuring our signature services: Industry Insight, Culinary Arts and Food Science!
+ CSK Product Developers and professional chefs Krista and Christine were pleased to support the annual Holland College Foundation & Holland Hurricanes Golf Tournament with some delicious healthy snacks to keep the participants fueled through all 18 holes: every year, this community event raises important funding dedicated to providing entrance awards for deserving Holland College students, alumni outreach as well as funding for varsity athletics.
+ It was a bittersweet farewell send-off mid-month as we said goodbye to Chef Christine Murnaghan, one of our talented product developers as she embarks on new adventures in the food service and innovative culinary industry! She started as a student intern at CSK in 2014, before progressing into a valued colleague – thank you for everything you gave to your clients and fellow staff over the past six years Christine, and best of luck for the future! For those interested in future employment opportunities at Canada’s Smartest Kitchen and Holland College can stay connected via the HC Human Resources page for listings.
CSK Service Highlight: CORPORATE CHEF SERVICES
+ Sometimes your best communication tool comes in a chef’s jacket and has over 20 years of industry experience. Hire on-hand credibility who can showcase your product in a way that speaks to your customers, and brings third-party persuasiveness by having a professional chef demonstrate your product to potential clients.
+ This is just one of the many professional servicesoffered by our team: We Know Food.
