Eliott Senechal is a passionate and driven individual with a resourceful eagerness to expand his knowledge of food product development. Having been raised in a French-Canadian family helped him solidify a passion for food at a very young age. The emotional connections that can be created from food is what drives him to continually expand the possibilities while being at the forefront of food innovation.
Eliott graduated from the Culinary Institute of Canada in 2013 and has since worked for a number of restaurants. His culinary journey began in PEI, but soon expanded to other provinces such as Nova Scotia, Montreal, and Alberta. His diverse background of working in fine dining, hotels, and convention centers were critical to his development. Opportunities and awards such as staging at a Michelin Star restaurant in San Francisco and receiving the top ten best new restaurant award in Calgary in 2016 are what make being a chef so rewarding.
His passion for food eventually took an exciting turn when an opportunity in the emerging cannabis industry allowed him to further expand his drive for food innovation. This is where his current product development knowledge was born. The industry created a fast-tracked learning opportunity in a highly regulated environment, which allowed him to launch over a dozen new products over the course of his time with the industry. Developing products from the ground up and seeing them come to market brings a sense of accomplishment like no other.
